Yeah, since my hours at work got cut I went from probably having a decent truck to take to SMORR to taking a stock truck. Had to scrap my lift and tires plan. Could still do the lift but with stock tires on it I think it'd look weird, lol. I am still going to be able to make it (so far) but now I'm just trying to get basic things like tow points, CB, and get everything on it working like its supposed to. Bilsteins going on Wednesday!

I understand the economy has made us all pinch pennies. you can still do a Torsion twist and lift shackles. 2" of lift for under $75! I have found used 31" Mudders on Craigs list for $100. For around $200 you could be lifted, have some tires that will help you through the trails and increase your fun factor by tenfold!

Remember,.......... where there is a will, there is a way!

Very true, little harder than that to find tires though. Stupid 16" wheels, lol.

Did you know that Seymour is closer than I thought?

Well it is very close and I close to making my way there. Because i have not followed all the details what is everyone doing camping or something else

We are camping out. Staying over on the 29th, and 30th of May. The park has just built a new camping area, with electricity to most. A very nice large bath/shower house. Check out the SMORR web site, and pics we took, links in first post. We have a thread going in their forum named, "Ford Invasion".

Sign up today, don't delay!:D

have they started reservations yet?

Do we HAVE to have a CB? Cause I'm breaking the bank right now.

Not yet. They are working on the map, and I have been assured they will have our section for us.

A CB is required.Walmart has the small Cobra's for $39.00. Try Craigs list, or E-bay.

Yeah, just get yourself a basic one and a mag mount antenna and you should be good to go. Aside from CL and Ebay, you can also check around your area for radio shops (which often sell used ones), flea markets, and pawn shops. They do make a trip with a group a lot more fun (and informative).

Edit: Added pawn shops to the list. You can get new stuff at truck stops. Read through the ham radio and CB forum here and you can pick up a lot.

Advice: You'll be much happier with a good antenna and a crappy radio than a $150 radio and POS antenna. I'm sure you can get a radio for under $20 used. I'd recommend a Wilson 1000 mag mount antenna. You'll never need another unless you decide to get a permanently mounted one.

Then you might start getting a little weird and start "collecting" things. Now I have 3 radios, 5 antennae, an SWR meter, and am planning on putting up a 5/8 wave base antenna at my house that will be 22' long mounted on a tower at least as tall.

Hollaaaa.

Dang I just noticed this thread, now the decision go to Moab for my 3rd forum run or go here which is basically my backyard and not have to drive 1300 miles???????

What is the plan for the weekend? Are people going to be hitting the trails Friday Saturday and Sunday? This would make alot more sense for me since this will be my maiden voyage with my SAS done.

Moab? Pfftt! lol !

Smorr is the place to be this year!

We will be camping Fri, & Sat night. Wheeling whenever we can. They allow night wheeling, so anytime is a good time. I plan on wheeling Fri night, Saturday and night, and Sunday as well.

Ok do i need to reserve a spot if i plan to use a air up matress in my explorer? lol

As far as i know right now i am a go for at least one day of wheeling.

Well if you find out let me know. I dont mind paying for a spot and getting one but i am going to pack as light as i can. I will have a set of 38s to haul back in side the explorer.

I know jon i want them on too but i need to make sure the alignment is 100% before i do make the swap. Plus i am going to wear these tsl all the way out.
