Dang I just noticed this thread, now the decision go to Moab for my 3rd forum run or go here which is basically my backyard and not have to drive 1300 miles???????

Chad,

Whats the verdict?

You know how much gas money your going to save by going to SMORR! Think of all that $$ !!!

No verdict yet. Part of the fun of going to Moab is the drive. I absolutely love Colorado, well the western part of it from Denver on. Plus my dad always flys his plane to Moab and goes wheeling with me and we take a trip over the trails to get a birds eye view. I will figure it out shortly.

Time for you guys in the "Maybe" list to commit to going!

Tick-Tock Tick-Tock

3 months have gone by, you guys have had to figure out if your going or not by now.

You guys dont want to be reading the "Back from SMORR" threads and not be in any pictures or stories now do you?

I want to read the "Back from SMORR" thread when i get home :) he he

throw me down on the maybe list. i gotta see how the funds look.

Roger that! :salute:

hey Gregg have you heard anything about making reservations?

I have been told to stay patient. They already know the sites I have picked out for us. They will not give them up, I have been assured of that. We will just pay upon arrival if they don't have the means to do it ahead of time. I can only do so much here, it is up to their site manager/developer to get this in gear.

Stay tuned, post often, and spread the word...........SMORR in May!!:D

Camping fees!!

I talked to SMORR today.

The camping reservation online is not going to be up by the time we get there.

So we will need to follow the information on the SMORR web site.

This is what I was told, so here goes:

If you want to bring a camper and have a site with power it is going to cost you
$35.00 for 2 nights of camping.

If you want to just tent camp on a primitive site with no power, it will cost you
$10.00 for 2 nights of camping. This is for 1 tent, and 1 rig. $5 additional for another tent. If you are close to someone who will share power from their site, it will cost another $5 per day. If you have 2 rigs and want to share a tent, you will have to leave one rig in the parking lot.

If you want a site with electric it is a R/V site. It is $35 for 2 nights, even if you only have a tent on it, and still another $5 for additional tents.

We have are area reserved. it will be a first come first served on the sites. We will pay upon check in at the entrance gate. They do check the camp site set up to make sure everything is in order, so be clear on what you want for your stay.

It might be a little confusing at first, but dont worry, it will all work out.

I suggest we post here what we want for a camp site. That way we can figure out who will have power, and who wants power to their tent, so we can get us all together and in sync. I will put your site want next to your name on the "Im In" list.

1 tent primitive for me and my roomie. Just to make sure, its 45 for 1 truck and 2 people for the 3 days, plus the 10 for camping? Sorry for the stupid qeustion, beer-30 was like 2pm for me today, lol.

The SMORR Rates posted on their site says $45 for 3 days wheeling plus another
$10 per passenger.

So for you and your room mate, it will cost $55 for wheeling. $10 for a primitive site with no power. Total cost to you is $65. 3 days of wheeling and 2 nights of camping.
