Starting the process

Hello everyone! I just got a 1990 bronco II 4x4 5 speed. Lowish miles. 116,000. It has obviously sat for a while. Little rust. I bought it with the idea of 4.0 swap. I’m not a hardcore off-roader. I do live in the High Rockies. So, it’s inevitable 4 wheel will be needed. I now have a beat down but salvageable 92 explorer 2 door. I’m interested in finding out what will swap over from 2 door explorer to the 90 bronco II. I have had good experiences reaching out to more knowledgeable people in forums and am hoping to get some guidance. Thank you to everyone that reads this and I appreciate any help!

welcome!!!!!!! has it got the 2.3, or the 2.9? if so the 4.0 is nearly a bolt in! the motor is basically bolt on, i have heard the trans too? @410Fortune big bii guy! def a go to guy for all the BII needs

the front dana 35 ttb, the rear 31 spline 8.8, the 4.0 drivetrain and the seats can all be made to fit your Bronco II
A 4.0 B2 with those upgrades is a very tough and very reliable 4 wheeler/ daily driver!!
