Swain's Project Hex

legally you just need to have 2 rear facing lights with signals in either direction and back up lights. third brake light is an easy delete.

i know of some newer cars that dont even have the third, i thought about taking the third, and running the wires down below the door... where the bottom meets the bumper and do an LED light.

i'm actually shavin my hatch now... i have a thread in body work...

The kids are loving it.. thats all the counts. This is will make it a little funner for crawling and muddin. We use it mainly in the winter.. Before this winter, Im gonna have some metal tubing welded underneath to help brace the floor, extend the bolts through larger support bars.

Update

Well I threw on the lime green sway bar, and bright red poly bushings, used a lil green grease and it stopped making squeaks! looks good to.. imo... haha..

i think you will need to keep the third brake light for legal reasons. i could be wrong though, check with your local state inspection station.

This is correct ... Federal vehicle safety regulations say that you have to have a 3rd brake light. I believe that it's FMVSS 108.

Changed the fluid in the rear diff, painted the cover... took a while to get all the rust off.. favorite color! Lime green, staring at the gears just made me want bigger gears even more :D

Brake Problem

so i had brake problems, and ive asked the board and done what people said etc. I even replaced all the brakes, everything to do with brakes, was still having brake problems. Well i finally replaced the Master Cylinder for the brakes, rebleed them again, front and back and bam touchy brakes. So touchy now i gotta relearn to drive with them.. haha... i barely push them and i about flew through the windshield! nice to have brakes again, debating if i wanna hunt down the ABS problem.

Painted the axle, removed the plastic piece under the bumper, clear diamond lights and clear corners.. oh yeah, finally got it professionally aligned after moog balljoins, moog tie rods

Before Lights, plastic piece still attached, and unpainted axle.

its amazing how much more of the suspension shows without that plastic valance isnt it?

yeah with plastic valance gone, made it look taller, lol. can we say cheap lift.. lol..

voodoo.. nah, Halloween decorations that has never came down, and it goes with the theme of the truck which it has been called Skull Crusher (not a fan of that one) or Hexplorer (that one I like)

I need to get a fire extinguisher for my truck. If I go wheelin in the heat like it is, I may burn somethin...;)

Good work man!! Looks sweet!
