So this is a issue I'm having. For some reason, sometimes my explorer won't start. Its not the starter, we've had it tested along w/ the solenoid, changed the battery and relays. Most of the time it starts fine, no problem, but if we've been driving for awhile and the engine is hot,or its hot outside, it won't start till we lift the hood, let it "cool down" for about 10-15 min and then its fine. We have noticed the check engine light on, got it checked and it was the oxygen sensor needed changing. We can't afford that just yet but when we go to start the car, if the check engine light doesn't come on, it won't start, once the light is on, we can hear the fuel pump turn on and it starts up just fine. When we do go to start it, it sounds like its trying just can't turn over, sounds like you start up just before it turns over, just keeps sounding like that and not turning over, if that makes sense. Any one else have this issue or any idea what it may be?

Got it running! for everyone having this problem....try swapping your diodes. They are in the power supply box under the hood. you have one for your pcm and one for your abs. The abs is closer to the fender, w/ the pcm being closer to the engine. if you swap them and it starts, you need a new one. They ranged here in florida from $5 to $8 and you can only get them at the dealer! Good luck to anyone having this problem!
