throttle cable

on my 92 explorer theres 2 cables on the pedal. i know which one is the throttle cable. is the other one for cruise control? i saw that it had came out of its place on the pedal and when i put it back on theres a lot of slack in it.

You can decrease that slack by doing a mod which is in the link below. Do you have a manual transmission?
