ok, First off... I'm about to head out to get the stuff to tint the taillights.

But before I tint them, I need to know how many coats of the candy apple red to put on the amber (Blinker) light. How long do I let that dry?

and how many coats of black? How long to let that dry?

and finally... how many coats of clear?

And how long to let that dry?

I'm not wetsanding them anytime soon so I dont need to worry about that.

and also, how long after I'm finished tinting, How long do I have to wait to put them back on the truck?

Being that I dont have a spare set of taillights and it will be sitting in the street (Where I park it) if front of my house so it cant sit to long.

aaaaaaaand it's getting a tiny bit windy... and the laws here say I cant spray anything like that in the garage so would it be ok to do it?

the wind isnt bad at all.

the quicker the reply, the quicker I can do it and get it over with.

Thanks!

Sorry no one has responded :(
I have never tinted my tail lights so I can only speculate.

I woudl keep the color as thin as possible to maintian maximum brightness from the tail lights. Cool tint aint gonna mean **** if you get rear ended.

I would give a minium of fifteen mineuts between coats assuming the air temp is failry warm and the humidity is low.

I would do three coats of clear, maybe four. Again fifteen mineuts.
Then I would let them sit in a safe place over night so you dont mash finger prints into the lights putting them back in.

Good luck
