Tints on the Taillights

I wouldn't use the regular spray tint then, since it is really dark. Ghoster has a way to do a mix of black & clear coat, so it isn't as dark. I would try his method.

All I did was blue spray model car tint no mixing no nothing...

I was saying something else he could do, since he was worried about the police bothering him. That way, if he used the other method, it wouldn't be as dark, just shaded.

As long as the reflector in the tail light works, your fine...

Yeah, I asked a few officers that come to eat at my restaurant and they said it's fine as long as you can see the lights and the brake lights. No worries anymore.

I'll go check out the model car tint sprays for mine also, and also what it is with mixing gloss and the tint? I was thinking of just setting the lights on the floor and spraying a thin level layer of tint. Thats the correct way of doing them, correct?

I just just cleaned them put them on the floor and sprayed them with blue tint a few times...let them dry over night then put them back on...

That looks harder then spray tint...

IMO
spending 10-12 bux and an hour is way easier than spending 20+ on a can of tint and waiting overnight so I can clear and wet sand them.

Plus
Film is not permanent. If you do have an issue with the law it will peel off.

Odd, mine there was no wet sanding needed or clear and the spray coasted me $3.75(model car tint - hobby shop). And letting it dry over night was no big deal because I had to go to bed anyways. But I guess is all someones personal preference :)

Adhesive and Tar remover will take it right off...So its not permanent...

Ya I tried RC spray tint on my headlights didnt like it came right off with some adhesive remover

Tinting your head light? I have seen that done before. I don't like it at all.

Headlights? Not a good idea since it will mess up where the light is aimed, plus you're better off getting those clip on things for the headlights.

Here's another idea i had just to throw in my ideas. I tried eliminating all the amber from my truck, so i painted the amber red. Decided to just go ahead and spray em black thou

Reminds me, I sprayed/tinted the Amber pieces Red before I tinted them Black. So it would get rid of the Amber glow it would just be Red...

Ahhh what the hell, I taught I'd fire this thread back up with my tails.
These were taken on or around beginning of March. (Click to view larger pictures)

Just a heads up if you get rear ended your more them likely going to loose out. A buddy got rearend with tinted tail lights, and lost big time ( only legal for parking display ) not legal on roads.
