trans wont shift out of first when first started and when it gets hot.
like after 4-5 hrs of driving it wont start after being turned off.
1994 4x4 auto/auto v6
i can put in 2nd and it shifts fine.
after a few mins in 2nd i can put in D and it shifts fine.
as for the stalling its only stalled once usually it drives great but wont start hot after being off <2mins.
after trying a few times it starts i rev it up and drives the rest of the way fine.
i hear the fuel pump priming with every key turn.
it looks like the FP had been replaced but not sure how long ago.
the tech couldnt get a reading on the eem? or pcm (under RH lower kick plate) so he thought it might be bad so i replaced it same problems.
no constant CEL i just read how to jumper it to read the codes like on old GM models ill check for codes and post later.
its got 240,000 miles but a rebuilt tranny 20k miles ago.
stats: new tires new front brakes/calipers cleaned the 5# of grease from the hubs.
changed fuel filter and oil a few months ago.
thanks in advance.

i did these cold just to see if i could get the codes out.
codes 111-1-111 so ok

tps tested ok for resistance.
i think the coil pack was ok.
the coil to coil tests were all the same but seemed out of range.
my meter is kinda odd when it comes to scale.

fuel was 28 psi specs show 30-45 so i guess ill throw a new one on.
new one showed 28 psi too must be the gauge. 40 with vacuum line off the reg.

Can't help you on the tranny. One WAG that comes to mind is the valve body isn't tightened down.

I'm interested in how you tested the coil pack. I tested mine the other day. Between the B+ and terminals 1, 2, 3 on the plug, I got .8ohms which is good. But between terminals 1, 2, 3 and there respective coil towers there's nothing. Book says there should be 6500 to 11,500 ohms. Maybe I can't read :D

i just used the same scale on the meter 1-2 2-3 1-3
all readings were the same but didnt seem like they were in the corrent range
but it runs great 99% of the time.
