If you can´t get the Motorcraft MERCON ATF, then what to use on the transfer case on 3 gen explorer with BW 4411 transfer case?

Any MERCON spec ATF should work, and I have also heard unofficially that MERCON V can be used.

If you really must, Ford makes a fluid specified for the transfer case. My bet is its just Mercon ATF in a different bottle with a price markup.
