What if, you could not have your Explorer any longer.

What would you drive that would be comparable and accomplish what your Explorer did?

Name any kind of vehicle that would be your replacement.

thats a toughie, while my ex is the only car i have had, and i have only been driving about a year and a half i think..

a full size truck might be my best bet, but may be too big for my liking

never a small car (like focus, or honda) not dissin em, they are just not me

i really like ford so i think i would stick with them

so prob a.... F-150

That's true, it would be a tough thought not to own my explorer. ( which is for sale for the right price)! But if i had to replace it. which i kinda already have it would be w/ my 2008 Chevy Silverado. That thing kicks some ass! I love the explorers, always wanted one, sense i was 13 or so. I've owned 2 in the past but full size trucks are deff my next step. I'm sure i'd like the new explorer that will be comming out in 2010 i think.

I traveled away from the Ford Explorer and went with GM, a Blazer and then went with a car, a Volvo and now I'm back. I don't think I could stray from Ford anymore so I'd have to say, a Ford F150 Supercrew. I love em!

I think I would move to a full size as well. I have a four wheeler that I want to be able to haul around when I wanna take it places. Theres a nice Toyota Tundra on craigslist that I wouldn't mind picking up.

Remember

Remember, Sport Tracs can be listed as well, since they are not exactly a regular Explorer. (IMHO)

Mercury Mountaineer or a Ranger

A Volvo C-30 -- lock the axle, larger tires, and it'll do what the Explorer did :)

Sorry to be boring but;

If I could never have another Explorer, then I'd get a 95 Eddie Bauer F-150. Black with gold trim. And a second gen Ranger.

Trailblazer or Tacoma?

Any thoughts on these?

For me a crew cab, F150 most likely

tacoma is better then the trail blazer, Like the explorer the trail blazer is outdated and just pretty lame inside as well. I'm assuming your talking about new ones? But they are very willing to deal on the bowtie side, I got my new 08 silverado for a great deal,

Already replaced the DD part of my Explorer with another Explorer :D If it wouldn't have been available I was going to look at either a Ranger or early Tacoma. For a trail rig I replaced that part with a Toyota pu.

Saab 9-5. Would be much faster and get better MPGs.

I am just looking ahead, I love how my X drives & small enough to get where I need it & 4 doors for family & leaf springs for towing.

Had to ask, as I have owned a POS 2005 Explorer, the new ones look worse. The old ones like our 2nd gen's are the last of the real ones. 2010 will be a Unibody!

But what you could get a tacoma for you could get a very close packaged tundra for as well. THose taco's are pretty expensive for what you get, but they do look good, and have excellent resale value as well.
