If I wanted to get a high pinion Dana 44 cut to EB width where would I take it? How much do you think it would cost for the cutting? Can I assume that if I get it cut to EB width that I can use EB axleshafts?
Take it to your garage and cut it there if you have a chop saw or power hacksaw, thats what I did. Any machine shop can cut it for you, about 15 minutes worth of labor or so.
Dale cut his long side 6+3/8" I think and he runs the EB shaft in that side. The short side will still use the stock shaft.
I guess I should have said cut AND welded back together. I don't trust my abilities enuff to weld an axel back together. Cutting w/ a chop saw? Maybe....
