if i go with this one i'll have to modify the brackets so the push bar sits right with my bumper since i have a body lift and i will have to get a winch of course, most likely if i get a winch i will pic up the 8000lbs one from harbor frieght considering that i might only use it a few times and i don't really do alot of offroading
I'd go with the second one. I'm not a fan of chrome at all though. As far as winches go, you could also look at a T-Max. The jegs catalog i just got has a 10k winch for only 600 bucks...and the one i'm kinda thinking about the 12500lb winch for 50 bucks more (yeah...i like overkill). Probably more than the hf model but probably more reliable to. It'd suck to get let down by the winch on your first run out...
That gaurd does not look like it could handel a winch though...just has the fairlead mount then the winch would be mounted seperately right?
yea the winch sits in the pushbar and the push bar mounts to the frame, the pic with the black push bar wasn't actually mounted just sitting on the bumper, i didn't want to actually mount it because i will need to modify the brackets and my bumper and i don't know if i want to go with that one.

r u talking about mounting the winch on the brushguard? bc i have been thinking about that but things such as too much weight on the front end lowering it down and also didnt think the brushguard was strong enough to support the weight

that is why they make the bars that are degsigned to hold the winches. For example JC whitney has one that supports a 9,300 pound winch and it mounts to the frame.
Yeah, that brush gaurd isn't strong enough to hold the winch. It just has a fairlead mount the winch would have to be mounted to the frame using a seperate mount. Is this correct?
ok guys the grill is made by Ramsey and when i bought it i assumed i could mount a winch on it because thats what it said in the ad, well anyways here is a similiar brushguard that they mounted a winch to tell me what you think http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/ramsey_patriot12000/index.asp
