Hey what about mine? Its flight test proven!:p:
She takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin':D

Yeah we do have a monthly contest but we got to get more elite regiestries up and going so we can choose each month.

We took this month off because I was out of town the date that I normally release the Truck of the Month. Its not fair for one person to get a whole month and someone else only get 2 to 3 weeks. Thats just how I see it. I have alreay picked next months truck out.

But looking at it this way the previous months truck gets 2 months.

The glas is half full or half empty. Depends on how you look at it.

well im stayin away from sas for whilie bc its my dd and the air force doesnt pay that much.

I did the SAS and it was still a dd for about a year.:dunno:

No 35" Goodyear MTR's. But it was still just as reliable;) I honstly don't drive it as much now due to the current paint job, other wise I would probally drive it alot more.

Drove it around like this for year before I bought a $500 DD.

Why wouldn't you want to drive it around now? Don't like being chased down by hot girls and their moms?:D

Actually that's not to far from the truth. It draws a ridiculous amount of attention. There has never been a time driving it where I haven't been honked at, given thumbs up to or been on the other end of there camera phone. It's funny at first..but gets old quick.

Yeah your mom was telling us stories at SMORR, sounds like it could turn into a dangerous situation with distracted drivers all around you.

well then ill go with the sts for now and when i get another dd ill go mud terrain and sas

Living in LA, it wasn't so much having a DD, it was where to park a 3rd car:rolleyes:

ooooh good thread I have been thinking about this topic for about a week now, and I think turdle is a great all around truck, its got street in it (347, IFS, nice looking) and its got off road in it (33's, superlift) but I keep coming back to Gerrald's 97 SOHC truck... that sucker has street in it (how about 2000 mile road trips to go wheeling) and it has LOTS of off road in it, 35's (I think, 37's now?) and lockers.

This is a tough one, I came down to this.
I couldnt justify giving the trophy to a SAS truck, all the street is gone even though they drive great on the highway, but a SAS screams I am going off road

So it came down to Turdle and Hootus, I think its a tie because Turdle has more street (about 150 more HP+) and Gerrald has more off road (dual lockers, bigger tires)

My question is Turdle locked?

Any other trucks to consider?

Hmm, since I have seen & been in The Turdle (many times), I know whats in it, and how clean a machine it is. Meticulously cared for, beyond a doubt. It has nice creature comforts, sounds mean as heck, has all the power one could need in a SUV, The means to go just about anywhere it needs to, and I would feel safe in it no matter where or what I was doing in it. It is a favorite rig of mine out of the ones I have seen from this forum.

Now, I have not had the chance to meet any from the west or east coast yet, so I have only the forum to choose from. There are a lot of awesome rigs on here.
Stico-s rig comes to mind, but it is all off road to me, same as Froaders. Very nice rigs at that.

Another terrific combo rig is Dkchrist, his Ranger is a great combo of street, and off road. Lots of off road, and nice creature comforts for street.

So, how to choose a fav? Beats the heck out of me. I couldn't choose a fav rig, cause I like too many of them for what they are!

Thanks, Greg.

I am at a loss for a favorite rig. I see so many things on so many rigs that strike me as being what I would want in a truck. The Black Hole so much attention to detail and so good offroad. The Turdle, wicked power, good looks, and offroad prowess. Then the whole category of SAS'ed trucks, IZwacks (not so sure it is an Ex anymore :P), Stic-Os, Froader, Damarbles, and ... I don't know to many choices. Ranger's Tbars and Scott B.'s, Bronco2guy's, and the list goes on.

We should make a rule that you cant vote for yourself. Because if you want my opinion ...

you know i think it's funny how you guys just kick sas rigs into a offroad catagory. Most 4x4 before the 80's were bulit like this from the factory. they have no problems driving down to the supermarket. I think they all don,t get driven as much because they are like muscle cars. they get 10mpg and you have to "drive" them. plus the ware and tare is just to much for using as a dd. Tires at $400 a pop, gets exspensive driving in bumper to bumper traffic....or in this case hood or trunk to bumper. :p

...There are a bunch of TTB X's here that are not getting mentioned, the ones that don't get trailered out to the trails... They drive to the trails, run the trails, and drive home where they perform grocery getter duties too....:p:
