If anyone is interested there is a nice mountain top field 17 miles from my apartment. This area is 35 minutes South of exit 27 on 40 in NC, or 1 1/2 hours from Knoxville, 50 minutes from Asheville.
There are three trails that I know of to this location. One trail is simple and a stock 4WD or a locked 2WD will have no trouble with. The other I have been on wasn't very difficult. I had to make a couple attempts in three or four spots due to having open diffs and rainwater washing ruts diagonal to the trail. I have not been on the third trail but from what I've heard it might be the hardest trail.

I'm open as to the date, any Friday or Saturday everyone agrees on will work for me. Oh and this is national forest land.
