I haven't found anywhere that parts are online (including fordparts.com). If anyone comes across anything please let us know. Even better would be finding the part number (though this seems to be difficult as most (if not all) of the ford parts sites don't list part numbers)

receiving orders is one thing. Delivery of an Explorer is something else. Nobody needs parts for an Explorer Sport they have not taken delivery of yet. I would guess once the Explorer Sports start rolling down the street and parts may be needed is when we can start ordering.

i found a part number for you guys a while back. see page 3 of this thread....

official fordparts letters are not available yet. I will keep an eye out and post here as soon as they are.

correct, you could try calling ford parts and see if it is available. So far it is not on their website yet.

First time poster, long time browser.

Just wanted to add my pic of the hood lettering I just finished.

A little too close together, as I only spaced them by 1 inch.
Still looks not too bad though.

Great job on the letters.
And I like the vinyl sticker too. Ive seen it done on 3rd gens and gives a nice look.
how are things in Dubai? My cousin lived there for about 10 years, but just moved back to Canada about a month ago.

Thanks Curtis, yes the vinyl sticker gives it a "range rover" look! hehehe! Things are great here and ive been here for 12 years now. the only issue is that its quite hard to find good accessories for Ford and I need to order it from US. would really want to grab hold of plastidip but its not available here and this cannot be shipped internationally.

Hi Kelbax, got the letters from ebay.

As for the grills, yes I painted them myself, tried to remove it from the car at first, but had a hardtime removing the 2 screws below, so I simply masked the surrounding areas to avoid overspray and went on spraying the grill. Used Krylon gloss black and Krylon Gloss clearcot which I got from ACE hardware.

Heres some pics of how I masked it. NOTE: had the hood opened and covered the whole engine bay with plastic while painting it. Also, it would be easier to mask it if you remove the top screws of the grill, so you could move the grill a bit while masking it.
