Hi all

So after searching a lot about this issue, talked with explorer guys from Russia and they advised to order UAZ Patriot (some kind of russian hardcore suv)snorkel from ebay.

After ive compared all the angles and dimensions with russians, uaz snorkel ordered from Vladivostok to Israel.

Only two thing to be done is to bend snorkel head approx. 15 degree to the left and drill small hole for windshield side window bracket (not in window frame)and its look perfect.

Still not connected to airbox (suitable intercooler elbow needed)
If you guys interested i can explain more about snorkel installation progress.

unbelievable how well that fits and looks on your 4th Gen X. Love it!!! Thanks for the INFO!

Hi all
Sorry for little delay

Connected my snorkel to airbox with amazon 3in silicone elbow (inside the hood) and isuzu trooper 3.2 petrol snorkel modifyed adapter (from snorkel hose to the hood):

***why do you need this adapter.you cant drill concentric hole to snorkel outlet pipe because of A/C condenser bracket location so you need kinda to lower your snorkel connection.

also note that this snorkel produce some kind of loud sound.i guess because its designed for smaller engine.

You can simply close your snorkel input inside air filter box with a piece of rubber and to open it before offroading only(then dont forget to close the original intake haha).
Also my advise is to seal all the connectors, plugs, spark coils etc...

Inside fender adapter:

You got a link to the snorkel on eBay?

Be aware of lots of mods needed until this snorkel will be functional.that not plug and play project

Since the previous version of the inner fender adapter was highly resonated on the intake and the silicone rtv seals was totally destroyed, ive printed new PLA 80 percent fill resonator and 3 inch pipes.

The resonator build from 3 parts plus fender to engine bay angled pipe.

The original intake is optionally closed with kinda slide plastic door and the snorkel intake is optionally closed with the red cap with oring.

The filter box and the snorkel intake remained connected with the same 3" elbow hose
