I am back 94 Explorer build

Been doing a little work on her also. Not finished just in the middle of getting it done.

Got to move the plate forward a little or the Winch wont fit. Trying to keep it hidden as much as possible. I am planning to have the Stock Bumper on it when done. Still working on that part. The plate is from a Jeep Wrangler. I will be getting some metal between the front of the plate and the frame to keep the Winch level. I moved the Trans lines coming up beside the Radiator and across to hook to the Cooler. The Winch Control box will be inside the grill in front of the radiator. Will keep you all updated as I get things done.

Looking good!

Interesting
What made you want to remove the sunroof?

Weeeellllll Turns out i am not able to get the Stock Bumper back on. I have how ever gotten the winch mounted and hooked up. Now to figure out a bumper to go around it. Just a simple one. If someone has pics of their DIY Front bumpers please share some :) So here is how she is looking now.

I will be changing the Trans Cooler though. That one is a Little small for her.

Think that looks mighty fine just like that. . . Get your state collector/historic license plate and you can delete the front plate holder above the winch (if you want) . . .

I will look into that. I am in Washington.

Here is my next little project. So far it is going pretty good.

The swing away portion looks strong, but the bracket that holds the tire looks thin. My worry is that it would quickly fatigue and crack.
That is why it is still in progress :) I will be taking everything apart and see what other parts I can do to support it. The main part was a Bike rake that you hook up into a receiver. I have had it on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and had no issues with. The part that is the thin part is just to help with wiggling. I am thinking of getting another piece under it once I have the whole thing on my work bench.

So Just a little update for her. Got Front and rear bumpers painted and rear tire carrier mounted back on the vehicle. I also got new rear seats and carpet from JY. Was very surprised at how well it looked for getting things from rainy Washington state.

I think the seats came from a 99 explorer. For sure was a 2nd gen. Now to get the front seats replaced. :-)
