Taxxman's SAS

I see you have the same ring worms I have...

indeed - i buzzed over them a few times with the 7" angle grinder and was like - to heck with that. i can live with it. i got a couple ocats of rustoleum on there now.

must of my orangy rust is surface rust from not painting it after the instal in the rain. my springs are old and rusty though. my exhause look sliek swiss cheese.

you should spend a winter up here.

im originally from michagen city, IN ;) i dont miss the salt. i imagine exhaust shops stay pretty busy up there.

I love going home and playing with a nice box....

im getting ready to go to the house .. (calling wife now) :D

Very NICE! wonder how I can make one without a bender? Wonder if I could make one with some square tube Or I could measure and have a shop bend it for me....

you getting a chop saw right? you could get 1.5" tube and cut it to more a octagonal design. 2 angles like
_
/ \

or im sure a machine shop would bend it for pretty cheap.

good call. Bend will be hard without having perfect measurements but your triangulare tube I dea should work well. Yep I picked a chop saw up yesterday, so far very happy with it. Got the Milwakee (sp?). Did you get my PM about the steering hoses?

Steering problem....

Got the return line figured out. However I can't figure out the pressure line. Attached is a pick of the SOHC line I have now. are the threads at the pump the same?

lol... sometimes it just helps to speak them or in this case type them. Thanks, its almost there. I am going to silver lakes for its inagrual run on the 21st and then I would like to come hang out with you rough rangers at chubfest in July... That is if I am allowed? By then the bugs should be worked out.

another thing to look at is the end of it - is it a convex or concave flair (not sure of proper terms) i ran into this brake lines as well. the male end had a rounded tip rather than cupped. (man this is emabrrassing i cant hink of terms):p

lol... haven't figured out break lines yet either. Looks expensive to order or purchase the full set for the 44 for a bronco but that may be the best easiest way to do it. What I am thinking about is the complete line set for the 44 then the line from the axle to the fram (an extended one) then take the end that is on that and match it up with a line to fit that end and fit the master cylendar. I have done that with the rear line before so it isn't hard. Just think it proly best and safest to get the EB brake lines that are made for my setup.

FMExplorer - went through all the brake line issues with EB D44 SAS. you might send him a line. brakes were a PITA to me until i found a very helpful guy at a locla parts store who was willing to search his intentory. i ended using stock ex hard lines with a new fitting to mate to teh jeep flex lines. worked out nice. but took forever to find good 411 on it.

i bought a flair tool - but dont be fooled its a BIG PITA to doulble flair hard brake line - i put the clamp in the 20ton hyd press at the farm so the flair tool wouldnt push the line through the clamp.

Here is what I am thinking to get.... Pic shows all lines for the axle to the frame. Total cost $117 then I just need a line from frame to master cylendar. If anyone has any cheaper bright ideas speak now:D

I'm sure you will be more than welcome, but I won't be there... too close to the wife's due date and the last thing I want is for her to go into labor while I'm 3 hours away and pulling the B2... That run will give Cory a chance to check out your lift too, pretty sure he is still planning on going.

I'll find out if Dale is going and hook up with him on it or cory. Bring the wife along. She could give birth there and they can put pics on the website next to the fools that got married there.;)

picked up the ranger power steering pressure hose today. Looks like it will work out perfectly. Apears to be the same fiutting on the pump as the X. They didn't have one there but between the pics I could find on teh CD and web and looking at it on the DD with a mirror I think it will work out GREAT! Will know more tonight. Is gonna be a biatch to get to thought:D

BUCHVILLEMAN

did you have any problems with the way the hoses where bent? Proly not your engine is the same as the rangers.... hmm I need one fitting to point 180 degrees from where it is pointing. May have to bend it a bit.

getting hose to "fit" was may be the giggest PITA. it is tight - very tight but it went after load fo bloody knuckles. it sounds bad but once you get in there its not so much. i would hook up to the box first then to the pump as the bigger fitting is much easier to thread on - and dont f-up you little o-ring. make it tight but not too tight. youll get it in a jiffy im sure.

i think i migh thave been drunk when i pu thte hose on now that i thin about it. i kept "soaking" my hand in the ice in the cooler that happenned to have beer in it:eek: (its very important to stay refreshed:o )
