Stock - 16.5 sec
Mine w/ intake, exhaust - 15.5 sec
Mine w/ intake, exhaust, 125hp NOS, MSD DIS-4, Taylor plug wires, ZEX plugs - 13.9 sec
2 door sport 4.0L SOHC 2wd auto w/ 3.73 rearend.

i always heard that it was about 16.8 or so (stock), but it all depends on 2wd or 4wd (4wd is heavier), and gears (mine are 4.10's but ive never run my truck for times), etc.

thanks

:redexp: what gears come stock in the 99

why should he have those gears? he could have any number of combinations of ratios either open or ls.

gears

:redexp: i check my door and it has a 42 on the sticker thanks for the reply

yah, mine has the open 4.10's but theres plenty of guys who have different setups from the factory on their sohc sports.

The only time 4.10s were offered was with the 16" tires which were part of various upgrade packages. On my '97 Sport they were part of the Premium Sport Package. Without the 4.10, the highest ratio you would get would be 3.73s.

By the way my '97 4x4 SOHC Sport ran 16.374 @ 83.04 MPH with 50K miles on it when it was stock at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix a couple of years ago.

or you could look at the differential cover and theres a lil sticker that says yer gears.
mine are 3.27s. they annoy me.

i have never ran the 1/4 but i have done the 1/8 in my OHV sport with 3.73's ( i had stock 15's) i had 4" of lift and 31" tires, but my best time was a 10.2 . BTW i have a stick also

It says D4 on my door under axle. What does that mean?

D4=3.73 gears with a limited slip.

Wow... I figured since I can pick up speed so fast that I had the 4.10 gears.
