1997 Explorer DANA 44 SAS

Nice to Join the forum finally. Ive been an explorer owner in Southern California for about 5 years now and have come to love the truck. I came upon it in stock form as a 5.0 Awd XLT. A couple of friends and myself put a coilover conversion and custom upper control arms on it as well as some fox 2.0s and beefier rear shackles. Quickly we realized the CVs were the determining factor in limiting travel. Now, after a few years, its sitting on 35's, racelines, and a Dana 44 crate axle among countless other changes. I work as a fabricator in the San Diego area so I spend a lot of time trying to get creative with the expo. I look forward to sharing it and seeing what everyone else has come up with.

Thanks Rick, this was taken In johnson Valley, CA. It was an offshoot of the trail "outter limits"

This is an awesome build. She looks well loved and well driven, I don't see any body damage! Use her well, and use her often!

I did! I used the BW4406 from craigslist, so far its been awesome. I will put together a build thread for sure
