Thank you! :D I'm making myself one and a sticker for the back window, lol :D

As for the waterpump.. I'm not sure, though I think they do require occasional maintenance and such. I'm just hopeful they will sell me the retainer ring so I can just swap it in and be on my way! Lol.

Got an email back from Meziere.. they will sell me just the retainer ring with bolts for $33 or the entire pulley assembly (idler, bushing, retainer ring, etc) for $170. He mentioned that if the bearing can spin within the idler piece then it's worn and will cause the new retainer ring to wear out so I told him I'll order the entire setup and play it safe :D

Got my PayPal invoice from Meziere and ordered the replacement parts. Just got FedEx tracking info and if all stays on track it looks like my package will arrive Thursday! :)

New idler assembly came in, looks good. Black instead of gray and seems a little thinner but the weight for the old and new assembly reads as 1lbs 7oz for both :D

I'll get this installed a little later today and see how it looks :)

Nice looking pulley

Nice looking pulley
I installed the new idler assembly and the sound is.. GONE! :) Drove truck around the block a few times to break off some rust from the brakes and see how it drove and all is well... other than my still bad air conditioning system. AC compressor metallic noise can be heard now but the previous engine noise is resolved, thankfully!

That was a tricky noise

That was a tricky noise
Yeah.. what threw me off was I wanted to immediately assume it WASN'T the water pump as I had just replaced the pump's idler bushing and the sound it WAS making before when the bushing was bad was gone and this sound was different so I told myself it had to be something else :-/

Put together a little video for YouTube on the water pump noise and issues... included shout out for the explorer forum :D

Printed out one of my Xploder stickers... turned out pretty nice, lol. Wish I could do them larger, lol. Going to put on the back glass when I get a chance this week!

Tossed the sticker on the back of the Xploder.. turned out pretty good. Probably should have installed it a little lower but it is what it is, lol...

Also the hat turned out nice :)

Went to the Michigan UP to visit my parents for a week.. picked up Covid in the airport or on the airplane on the way back, lol. Catching up some work on my Camaro and hopefully getting the AC looked at in the Xploder... hopefully get someone to get it working properly for me as I'm tired of messing with it myself.

Finally added the Xploder back onto insurance and working to get registration back after letting it expired while it sat a while.. so, should be driving around some here soon, lol :D Of course while taking a photo of my odometer I noticed the interior trim piece that is above the door that clips into the pillar to around over by the side of the drivers dash was hanging loose.. one of the clips seemed to have shattered, lol.

I've been driving around the Xploder for a few days moving some boxes around from storage unit and what not... driving pretty good, minus the lack of AC when it's 100+ out.

Drove a good number of times over the past week or so.. Zero issues other than my ac and drover side rear door handle not working, no bigger. Hopped it today after not driving it for a few days and it starts right up and immediately shuts down, lol. Tried a few times before giving up and taking wife's mustang to the gym. Will look at it tomorrow.. seems maybe iac? 🤔 always something I swear, lol.

Replaced the IAC (didn't feel like trying to clean it as the cost of a new part was pretty cheap)... cars starts right up and... stays running perfectly. Hopefully it stays solid and I can fix my rear driver side door now, lol :)

Juist realized that I started this thread BEFORE my son was born... and a few weeks ago he started 7th grade, lol. Time flies :D

Getting my rear driver side door open looks like it will be... interesting. Seems I may need to get the door panel off with the door closed so I can get the door opened up to troubleshoot. Oof.
