Help!
My power liftgate has done this neat trick where it would open all the way, ding three times, then come part way down, back up, rinse/repeat a few times, then give up at the top. It would then seep back down about 6 inches as if it wasn't strong enough to hold the door up. Occasionally during "chewing" it would come all the way down and latch closed. Now it won't work as a powered liftgate at all, only manually. Even then it won't hold itself up.
When it first started doing it I tried the liftgate reset procedures to no avail.
I'm sure the gas cylinders need replaced, but does anyone out there have any insight as to what's going on?
