..I haven't been there (I think) but once you meet up with everyone in Truckhaven you will have a better chance of gaining interest into running over there...

..I can't find it right now but there is a picture I took of the Maniak in the ditches right after some rains..It was over by the arch..

..Found it..

..This is when the rains have gone thru and washed out everything including the roads to the mesa's...There is no smooth powdery bottom to the ditches either as they are all rutted out with rocks sticking up everywhere..

..No problem as there are detours to take..

..I actually was leading at that time and detoured at the last minute with Dave Alfaro up the high road and raced over to the edge to capture that shot..

..Knowing how rough the rest of the trail was to get there and since we were heading over to the arch ( within feet of it), I knew my truck would get lodged in there like a big turd...and Maniak likes getting his truck wedged in places..:

I'm a bit on the fence for this run now. I was in barring unforeseen circumstances. Well my plan was to cruise out thursday evening from vegas and take friday off work. Well, yesterday and today I've missed work due to fun times sitting around on my bathroom floor praying to the white god. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to make it in tomorrow yet either, depends how I do tonight.

Either way, at this point I've burned my friday time off that I had set aside and am not cutting into my xmas family holiday plans too. It's quite a haul out there for me so just doing it for a regular weekend is a bit on the fence. I'll probably just see how it pans out as it gets closer at this point now.

LOL, I don't even have cable so I didn't get to see it but have seen the pictures floating around and well... Yeah, that very well could've been the cause! I'm at work again today at least! Would much rather have been at work then dealing with the last 2 days that's for sure!

Playing with my PTO hours and such... I might still be in on this one assuming nothing else pops up. Would just be taking a half day and bailing outta vegas around noon on Friday rather then making the haul out after work on Thursday. Still wouldn't be too bad...

If you do end up getting their earlier.. I leave Tucson area at OMG its early Friday (like 3:00 AM) so I can end up in Truckhaven around noon.. Sometimes I get there later.. it depends on how eventful the trip is..

I don't know if DA and CAexplorer are going (they normally chime in) but they are usually there by noon on friday.

If others will get there early I "might' be able to leave on Thursday so I have all day friday and sat to wheel (not just Saturday day/night)

My original plans were to get out there late thursday night. I figure if I'm making the haul out from Vegas I might as well get 2 full days of wheeling in but now with the lack of time off thanks to my stupid stomach the past two days I'll likely be getting in late friday afternoon/early friday evening at this point. I need to check mapquest and see how far it really is for me. I don't think I've made the haul out there since I moved to vegas. I'm not even quite sure what the best route is but I'll figure it out. I was just happy to look at my hours available and make some adjustments to get at least maybe a half day still off to make it a bit more worth the haul...

Now that I am working again, its a little trickier.
Ive requested the time off from work, im still waiting to hear back if I can get it off. But if I do, that time estimate seems about right.

Both My Dad and I are still wanting to get out and use the trailer again and get the tires in the dirt again.

Will keep you all informed once i hear.
