Still deciding truthfully weather just to go with what I got. 16s have gotten alot cheaper. But unfortunately rims are expensive as f###.

Mazda truck wheels are exact copies (fitment dimensions) as 2gen Explorers.

You can use any of the 1991-2001 Explorer wheels for the 2nd gen Explorers which don't have the larger 12" front rotors(2001 Sport and Sport Trac). The Mustang wheels from 1994-2004 will also work, the offsets are very similar.

The later models have more offset, instead of something around 20-30mm, the next generations use wheels closer to 44mm offset. So that's why some people have used them by installing spacers, about 1" it appears. Avoid spacers if you can, some are sketchy, poorly made, and all of them must be very tightly installed, and checked often.

Pics how much to ship to alabama?

I also have a spare set of those 16" teardrop wheels, plus center caps someplace. I got them way back in about 2006 before I decided on the Limited 16" wheels.

I wish shipping wasn't so bad, or refinishing wheels. I also have my old 93 Limited wheels, plus caps, which are the 93-95 15's with the fine lace pattern, clear is bad of course.

He might want to see about yours, you're closer to Alabama. I just think the shipping from AZ to AL would be killer. Of course I haven't checked it yet...

Bored? Go to the pick-a-part yards I hit...

NOTES:
Cheyenne can dismount tires for a fee, if you trust them to do it. AFAIK, Greeley does not.
Wheel with tire is a better deal in Greeley.

I am in no hurry to sell any of my spare parts, and I don't want to interfere with any sale that you may work out. :salute:

I want to go the cheapest route so how much to ship to alabama for the 16 tear drops?

What other ford rims can you put on 2nd besides the basic second gen rims. Can you put like stang rims or 3rd gen rims. Looking cause it's so much harder to find 15s.
stang rims might be weight rated for suvs and suv tires but when ford put the independent rear they used different front too
so where gen 1 and 2 had different offset look at rim center where lugs are way in the rim. the 3 gen are quite flat in comparison
i junked an 03 200k check gas fill radiator was not great shape did not want to spend waterpipe when it might have been cracked block but was keeping 2 new tires i used its spare and one off my 99 and it hit and it just about let us drag the truck on trailer
yard took off with forklift to get my 99 spare . ford needed to change offset to fit irs on rear . i never had trouble with solid rear but the independent does ride better my 04

Lol I hit cheyenne quite often. Want to hit greeley eventually.

FYI: either Thursday in Greeley, or Saturday in Cheyenne, there was a full set of Limited wheels in one of those yards, like these. Condition appeared good, but that was just a quick glance from ten feet...
