(4406 question)

I bought a 4406 to go behind my 302/zf5 swap in 84 ranger (tag says "FU292 4406-21 177445 XL34-AC") It had electronic speedo and I believe the other wire protruding from the case is for the TOD. I have already modified the shaft to accept a drive gear for mechanical speedo - my questions are:
#1 is the single wired plug coming from the case in fact TOD
#2 is it possible to shift the case without TOD being plugged/wired in
#3 if answer to #2 is no, then what needs to be done in my harness to accommodate it?

Ignore the brown wire

It is for an electromagnetic clutch that speeds up the front output shaft to match the rear before shifting in 4wd

We have no way to control this so we just ignore it
