yeah, as you can see, I left nothing usable on the black one. I cut the frame rail right behind the 2nd pair of body mounts and dropped the whole front end, engine and all, out the bottom. The doors are going as soon as I get around to gutting them.

To do list on the white one includes:
-Fab and install center console (never got around to this on the black one)
-Wire and install front bumper
-Wire and install spotlight
-Wire and install sub and amp (need new amp, the old one died)
-Swap over the excellent condition 98 leather seats from the '98 body shell I have. I can do this now, since the 92 up seat brackets are the same, whereas 91's use leftover BII parts.
-Figure out why my cruise doesn't work

There's more, but thats what I can think of.

The cruise problem usually is the green cruise signal amplifier box right behind the glove box. I replaced mine on Red and instantly got my cruise back. I picked that one up from kbabiak for a good deal.

well, I have the complete dash out of my other one, so I most likely have it. I need to post a pic of the frame and engine, it's TTB in a veiw most have ever seen.

so just as an aside, I've been putting that new welder to use, I've been working on this:
Photo055.jpg

Custom built trailer for deer hunting, has a monster toolbox for a couple climber stands and guns and clothes and etc. The 600 that is on there is not what it will actually carry, and is slightly heavy for the springs I went with. That was just loaded to see if it would fit. It pulls great, and tracks perfectly.

I'll post some more pics when I get it finished, I have to finish the rail around the top of the box for carrying things like coolers or the day's game, as well as de-bur and paint.

The 16' on the far side has the remains of my black truck on it.

Nice job on the trailer! Gonna be keeping the 91 remains for spares or are you parting it out?

Thanks, there is over 25 pounds of welding wire in that thing. As for the 91 parts, the rear axle will eventually find its way under the back of my truck, as it is a disk brake 3.73 LSD with an AAL. The front end assembly will be canabalized as necessary, though I am going to pull the engine off it and put it away somewhere so it's out of the weather.
The doors will go to the scrap yard as soon as I pull the window motors and interior door handles. Was going to save the glass, but its all scratched up, and new glass is very reasonable should I ever need a window.

I did get half my manual hub swap done the other night, one of the locknuts was cracked so I couldn't do the passenger side. As I mentioned some months back, I now have the heavy duty Warn Jeep conversion hubs courtesy of Rookieshooter, so my lockout problems should disappear.

Radius arm bushings shot? Which method are you using to get 'em out?

I have to get to my RA bushings too...

They are a real PITA to replace, whichever way you do it. Mine need to be done as well.

Thanks for the heads up not sure which brand I'm going to go with, I don't want something that is gunna wear too quick but may go with JD arms within the next year or so. From looking at my truck and then reading over this Thread it looks as if it shouldn't be that bad I plan to only take the radius arm bracket off, my bracket is bolted to the drop brackets so the hard part is done.

Ah, the old torch and go method. :p:

yeah, the pass. side of the crossmember is all chewed up due to it running for a while with a bad bushing, so plasma shall aid my removal.

so put the truck on the lift tonight, and found out that not only do I have bad RA bushings, but bad ball joints and a broken shock bolt, not to mention the passenger side spring retainer is gone on the top, so under droop the spring pops right off. So, new plan is to put the radius arm and passenger side beam off the black truck with new ball joints and brake pads, and put new ball joints on the driver's side, all while changing the RA bushings. Fun.

That sucks, always find unexpected things after buying an older used vehicle. At least you have part readily available.

yeah, there is a whole ttb frame still on my trailer. I've already ordered all new ball joints from rock auto. Just gotta find the time to do it.

Though on a more positive note, I have a set of really nice leather seats out of a '98 XLT in it now, both front and back.

Yeah those seats are more comfortable than the cloth ones.

I just got a call from Rock Auto, I am definitely impressed. They are out of stock on an exhaust hanger I threw into the order for my dad's F-250, and they called to give me the option of substitution or cancelation on the part. Hardly ever see customer service like that anymore.
