93 Explorer project "The Hulk"

Almost a year now.... but my front axle and I have had several disagreements about the nature of what the word 'alignment' means.... so I wouldn't be the best person to ask about wear rates. I can say that though they seem softer than my last set of tires ( Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor A/T's... which are complete garbage btw) they haven't been wearing any faster noticeably. In fact, they've worn much slower than my wife's Heep goodyear wrangler mt's (old style), and haven't needed to be rebalanced yet.

As for rocks, amazing! Ice.... a bit of the slippery (to be expected) but not bad at all. Mud... no experience... I do live in CO.

I must admit that I was torn between the goodyear mtr and the bfg... and I still may try the new Goodyears on the jeep, but these tires have been amazing.

Anyone who owns a ttb has that same disagreement with the front end especially me so your the perfect person to ask lol..I would look more into the goodyear mtr's but I just really dont like the way they look with the goofy different pattern on one side of the tire vs the other. Its almost as if they used two different molds on accident and said oh well market them anyway and see what happens.

I'm so with you on the goodyears... but I do like the idea of a section of tire that would do better in black ice conditions; as I see quite a bit of that stuff while driving all over Colorado for work.

Okay, for uneven ttb based wear issues, with my freakishly evil caster camber shims I had issues with the outside wearing faster than the inside, but for how bad things were.... it took a while for the wear to become noticeable. I've also slapped her against some nasty and pointy granite rocks, with only some minor surface abrasions and a few rim scratches to prove it happened. Once I start replacing tires, then I will be able to give life span numbers... but I don't care to estimate before then. ;-)

Doesn't for my phone. I'll try again when I get hone to a real comp. :-(

What is that nasty blue thingy blocking your driveway!?!

Aha! Just watched the second vid. Cool.

Thanks wood it was silly fun in the driveway but fun none the less.......more importantly lol I have a question....im looking at exhaust kits and im thinking im gonna get the dynomax kit #17415 but the question I have and im feeling stupid but it says it doesnt include the intermediate pipe? What is this intermediate pipe they speak of? Sorry I feel really stupid right now.

Would that be the pipe between the muffler and cat? There a lot of muffler/tailpipe kits out there.

On a personal note, I had dynomax mufflers on the stang back in the day, I liked them, nice note, quiet until you honked on it.

Hmmm maybe not.

For an exhaust I got a Magnaflow pt#11226, (I think) and went to a Midas for a intermediate and tail pipe to be bent up for me, At a solid 2.5" the whole length, then I took em home and welded it all together by myself. Though they could have welded it for me, for a fee.

It isn't ridiculously loud, tinny, or 'ricer like' by any means, but everyone thinks I did a V8 swap in her. :)

Ive been running with nothing after the cats for several months now and if it wasnt for stupid emmission laws id probably straight pipe it from the cats without a muffler but I cant so im looking for something to give it the deep throaty sound but not too loud....ive heard this kit was good but I should get an intermediate pipe that is 2.25 as well. At least I think thats what I saw anime and a few others say

Awesome! I'm thinking of grabbing a shiny rear bumper and tire carrier from him.... so pretty... so expensive...

Very nice. The tire carrier looks like it would take some time to build, I'm guessing that's why the price is what it is.

I'm betting parts don't come cheap either. :-(
