im planning on doing a SOA on my 94 explorer 4x4, and the question that im wondering is what do you do about shock mount? since the old shock mount is the leaf plate, what did some people do for a shock mount. and what size shocks should i put on it? anyone have any threads with pics for SOA?

My lift relocated the stock perch. It uses stock length shocks. I have Bilstien 5100.

The Superlift SOA brackets relocate the stock perch. You could also just get some tabs from Ballistic Fab or wherever and weld them on to make a new perch...

stock shocks to either the mounting plate where the sway bar bracket would go, or the superlift brackets

I used the sway bar bracket to bolt the shocks to. It seems to be fine for me (for now)

mine are stock too but i swear they max out under full flex.im about to buy new ones that are a little longer from james duff:thumbsup:

My original rear Superlift shocks were damaged (bent) likely from over flexing. I swaped in a set of junkyard springs with half the miles. I have not had any problem since.
