Alrightie , I will check to see if I get a pulsing signal from the CPS and also clean the connections on the PCM. I dont think the PCM is bad though because that was one of the things I have already replaced. Wish me luck.
Ok I think I have found the problem, after testing the wiring to the CPS to the PCM I found it had power for just a sec. then went down to .3 volts so looking at the wiring diagram I noticed that the oxygen sensors are also running on the same circuit as the CPS . Got under the truck just to check the connections there and find the front oxygen sensor wires had burned all the way through on the trans. heat shield . The wires were burned together and I think this is were I was getting a little juice at on the neg. side. Anyway I have not replaced it because no one had it in stock so I will have it on in the morning. I hope that is what it is. Thank you guys for all you help and I will let you know if it fixes the problem.
Hey I'm only posting to this so I can subscribe to the thread so I can be notified when you post next, this whole thread is like a great novel, i wish they made novels like this, very addictive, oh yeah, good luck!
AAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! OK I replaced the oxygen sensor but looking at it I noticed when the tow company chained down the truck that they had looped there chain around the frame rail and had torn the oxygen sensor instead of it being burned by the heat shield . I still needed to replace it but when I did it didnt fix anything either. So here I am still lost , whats next???? I wish it would run so I can drive it off a cliff!!!!
Are you sure that you are talking sternly enough to it? You want to project "you better start!" as opposed to "please start for me." Remember, speak from the diaphragm
And the drama continues..... so let's back up to where you left off.... the last check you did was the injectors with the noid light? Yes? Maybe repeat that test and verify the readings.... am I correct in saying that all of the injectors are not working? It does sound like some sensor/electrical element is hindering the suck/squeeze/bang/blow......
Also, jtsmith mentioned that the cooling temp and pressure sensors may play a part as well..... I also remember him saying that the oil pressure switch (although I re-read you have a valid pressure reading)....just more to ponder
