maybe i missed it, but what exactly needed rebuilt?

The pinion bearing needed replacing and also the main gear....who know what else. I didn't want to deal with it.

After looking at it with the sloped body lift Ive decided spring over axle will be too much lift for the rear so ive decided to order 3" lift leaf springs from customsuspension.com instead. I think those with the warrior shackles will level it out nicely. I think it looks a TON better without the frame hanging down, the gap and the shackles hanging way down....It will look simalar to a explorer with a superlift kit on it when It's completed.:D

I don't know if I can tell the difference.....??? You look just as high as before??

nope definatly 3" lower in the rear lol. Cant you tell by the shackles not hanging down a foot? and frame not sticking out as much?

I don't know man.. I still think it looks like mine (minus the BL) shackles are still hanging... I don't know about the frame though.. I suppose the frame isn't sticking out too much.

Ah, I got ya now. Personally, I don't mind the shackles hanging down. (even though with a BL it is a Little much..) Either way.. they're still in the same spot.. I guess it's just personal preference really... but anyways.. Nice job on the sloped BL.

just installed the WAR153 shackles on the rear of my first gen................... with that 3" BL they B hanging wayyyyyyyyyyy to much :( Gonna order me some perches for a SOA - sloped body lift :)
to each his own on the shackle thing......... for me though gotta get em up, plus I want to be able to put my hitch receiver back on without the gap

Update-I decided spring over is the way to go so I orderd the superlift soa conversion kit so I can keep my sway bar. It will be here firday and installed friday. Ill get some pics up when it's completed.

I got the superlift soa kit installed today.....

Was it easier installing the sloped BL over the standard 3" BL? Also... is it a kit, or a modification to the PA kit?...

I would like to see a side shot of that.

Here is one I took yesterday evening after I finished it so lighting isnt all that great. Ill get a better one tomarrow morning. It only sits an inch and a half or so higher in the rear and btw Ive heard people complain about the superlift perches moving a little and making noise but I have yet to experience this. Ive gone over speed bumps, flexed it out, went down bumpy roads and there is no movement or noise what so ever...

the soa looks 100x's better

Ive heard people complain about the superlift perches moving a little and making noise

aren't the perches welded to the axle tubes?
