Anyone?? I hate Shackles. Will the 4" Superlift springs be too high with a 2" torsion lift up front and a 3" BL??

Actually if there 4" higher than the stock sagging springs it would be perfect. Every explorer I see is higher up front by at least an inch.

but they are 4" over new stock... so you would have a rake....the sagging is why people need to do both the aal and shackles to their sagging stock springs.

Every Explorer sport I have ever seen sags in the back new. I purchased my 01 Sport new and immediately put an Airlift airbag suspension in the rear to level it out and help with towing my boat. My point is if I got 4" from the springs over my stock springs then the back may be 1 inch higher than the front which would be no big deal. 2" is unacceptable.

I wonder if that F150 leaf pack would give me 3"?? Hmm

I hear alot about the Old Man Emu springs... which are 2"s of lift over stock I believe, I would go with those if you dont want AAL or SHackles.

I checked those springs out there like double the price of the superlifts!

Maybe I just didn't get my point across.

The sports do not have a true leaf pack, rather just a mono leaf.
Therefore an AAL can not be used
If an aftermarket spring is used you will end up with a full pack which will give you 2" more than advertised.
Grab yourself a set of leafs from a 4-door X bolt em on and viola 2" of lift and a cure to that saggy rear.

Why not go spring over to acheive the 4-5" of lift?

Because on a 4x4 you could never get the front up high enough to match the rear. Believe me I would love to do a SOA as It would cost me near nothing as I have a full machine shop and TIG welder at my disposal.

I just checked............. the superlift springs are a progressive rate spring which give you a much nicer ride and are only $260 a set.

I have the superlift springs. They ride ok, but I don't like them that much. Out of 10 I'll give them a 6!

Do the superlift springs ride better than the stock ones with an AAL?
