So I'm looking for aftermarket rear and font bumpers. I've done a little research and it looks like there isn't many options for off roading ones. Does anyone have some bumpers they're trying to get rid of, know where to get some, or have a DIY idea for it?

Thanks

Dixon brothers had a cool one

Oh wow this thread went hard!

I'd love to see a bumpers thread though, where we all post picks, get ideas for different setups, swap, trade, sell, write ups, and maybe post links to good places to buy aftermarket bumper, guys who fab them can post their custom made ones too...

SWIGIN, thanks dude, I'll definitely look through this, I was using the forum correctly and searching for former threads before spouting off at the mouth and making a new post haha. I'm new to this off road forum, previous FSB guy, and couldn't believe I didn't find one easily, it's a pretty common topic, I got to page 5 of search results and said **** it haha. I'm glad read I saw your reply because I was just about to make a new post

I agree on getting custom bumpers so you can have the design you like.

Check this link. He makes some good looking bumpers.

RLC Welding

Sorry to revive this thread. I'm looking for a front bumper for a 1997. I hear ranger bumpers fit is that true? But how extensive is the welding needed? I am not a welder. Sorry. I am hoping to buy something or pay someone. My "man skills" only go so far.

The ranger bumper sold on Ebay is TOP NOTCH
However it does require some fabrication to mount it to an explorer / sport / sport trac
The bumper mounting points need to move up exactly 2" to make the ranger bumper a bolt on ordeal

I spent the better part of a day welding up some simple angle iron brackets on a 02 sport trac to accept the Ebay Range bumper. Turned out really nice! BUT it does require some trimming, some bracket fab and some light welding.

James Duff also makes some wicked nice Ranger/ bronco II bumpers that can be made to fit a Gen II sploder
Many people also find ways to make jeep Cherokee bumpers fit........
but they all require some amount of bracket fab to mate them up

I build my own bumpers for all my rigs as well as my customers. I stil have to add some skid plates to my mountaineer.
