yep and it has to be soaking wet while it in the CD player or it wont play.

the make is AIWA and i forgot the model i know i have a thread a while back about hooking it up that has the model name.

:wtf:

Water+ Electrical moving parts=

Um yeah---

either the lens is very dirty (inside the cd player) or the focusing circuit is toast.

If you can, disassemble it and clean the blue lens real good with a q-tip and alcohol. If this doesn't fix it--it is toast.

Can I ask what made you think of playing a wet cd?

lame that is real wierd. get a gold fish bowl to keep your cd's in with a little water and you wont need a spray bottle haha. i would just get another cd player yours is nuts.

well i tried cleaning the lens and what got me to think of playing it wet was first it wouldn't read any CD and everyday i would try it. Then when i was working on taking out my tranny modulator i dropped a CD through the hole in the floor and i dint notice but tranny fluid pored all over it and i put it right in and it played fine so i took out the CD and noticed it had tranny fluid all over it. So it made me think why not try watter. So i try watter and next thing i know it worked. I know circuits and watter don't mix but when i took this thing apart to clean it i noticed all the circuits are sealed like there is no way watter could touch them so i know i couldn't hurt any thing so i just continued to do it but i am tired of wetting all my CDs so i was hopping on a better way to fix it.

I have two CD players each cost me 75 bucks one it wouldn't play cds so i re wired it and now it is my home stereo(it works great) and the other is in my truck right now so i don't want to git another one and i like the gold fish bowl idea i might try some thing like that if i cant fix my CD players need for watter.:p:

bump

you can even get gold fish stickers to put on your cd's that would be legit.

lol i think i just might do that.

could be a conversation piece... and dont forget to feed your fish and change the water frequently

i think i am gunna really have to do this fish bowl mod because it doesn't look like any one has ever had the same problem with there CD player like me
