Boomin's getting a sex change

my 15x8s came in today. I hopefully will pickup robb's tires friday or maybe saturday (35x12.50 Regul Trailblazers). I also ordered a 3'' PA Body lift in case I need it but I dont want to use it if I dont have to.

Dang chris - you are moving fast! Since you are going to robbs, bring your 2wd bogger so I can see it!

not road ready yet :(. I'll be in my dad's F150. I have to get my driveshaft lengthened before I do anything because I will probibly have to put 1'' or 2'' blocks in the rear to match the front with the glass. Its a slow project but its keeping me out of trouble so I'm not too concerned. She WILL be fully road ready by july though (get my lisence fully back july 6th)

Boomin I am sure that you will need that body lift..

as you know my 2wd has now torsion twist maxed out...
has spindals up front and also 2 add a leafs on each side in the rear..
i was hoping to put 35's on but soon gave that up..
I bought 33" BFG Mud Terrains...
and was amazed to find that they barely fit and rubbed quite a bit..

I received my 2" body lift tuesday and was hoping to install it this weekend to stop some of the rubbing. but looks like that is on hold for a while as Monday night I pulled something picking up a piece of furniture that i was repairing and sharp pain.. and just waiting till my wife comes home so i can head to the Dr. I am sure it is a hernia as I am in intense pain...

anyway good luck with the 35's and i am glad i just stayed with 33's also i checked my axle i have 3.73 limited slip thank god as i can see a differenece already adn i coundlt imagine it with 35's

big difference between the 31" compared to the knobby 33"s//

the bottom picture is the one with the smaller 31's

what is wrong with your license...

suspended for 101 in a 65, 60 in a 35 and wreckless general (racing).

Boomin will make 35's fit without a body lift ;)

Do you have SOA?

Body lifts = ghey.

No need to hate on Body lifts. I love mine. Does exactly what I wanted a lift to do, allows plenty of room for my tires.

This is a few days and pages late but here is a shot of my 5.13 crosspin. It is a notched style pin. It looks like the letter "D" and slides right in there.

Truck's looking good. I woulda stayed with the 17s!

Are bodylifts gay when your on 37s?

They were 18's so tires would be about 300$ each were im getting all 4 with wheels brand new for 400 ;). Thought about going to 37's but when i found the deal on these tires thats when i decided all suspention. Now when these tires run out, i'll throw the BL on and run 37'' MTRs

good luck ....
this i will need to see..

If hes running fiberglass fenders, running 35s wont be that big of a deal.

i dont know, buckshot had to trim a little with he b/l and fiberglass fenders to get his 35's to clear if i remember right.....he is also running a 15x10 wheel

wait till you see what im doing to the tortion bar setup ;)

Modifications to my front end to give me loads of TT but still be forgiving to bumps....

If you are fimialar with the tortion bars you know that we have "keys" at the end of them where we adjust the bolt to give lift. What I'm doing is rotaing the keys 60* and flipping them. I'n other words this gives you the same amount of lift as if I had T-bar bolts a little longer than factory and maxed out. The reason I am doing this is because I dont want to put all the stress on a set of extended bolts and have the shear or brake and leave me SOL. SO basically I will have 3-4''s of lift with no tortion bar bolts. I probibly will have to put some bolts in but just to level it out, not lift to extent.

Parts needed:
-longer swaybar endlinks
-shock extenders or longer shocks
-softest T-bars (not sure what code yet)

Tools needed:
-Wheel grinder
-2 arm puller
-socket and wrench set
-extra set of hands or jack stands to hold up the tortion bar assmembly while placting in the 2 arm puller
-AT LEAST a 6 pack beer (I prefer Miller or Yuingling)

I will get pics up when I get my digi cam working again

do fiberglass fenders do that much.. is the wheel well that much larger??

when i put my new spindals on and then cranked my torsian bars fully. i even lose some of my turning radius..

i have heard of others having to grind their lower a-arms to get the full turn back..

but if you put any more stress or angle on your front end in doing what you say, wouldn;t that just magnify any problems...
your control arms will be at quite the angle....

''4's+ is where control arms get into a sticky place. The BJ's angle gets bad and yes the the steering gets cut a little short. 6''s+ is where the upper CA actually makes contact with the frame. I took the T-bars, sway bar and shocks out today and jacked the front end off the ground and played with ideas. When you do 2 or more inches of TT not just your camber gets thown off, so does your toe. That is probibly why you have bad turning radius.

The glass fenders are like cutting off 1-2'' all around and bending them out 3''s.
