Boomin's getting a sex change

fiberglass really helps out ALOT, the hardest part to clear on the Explorer is the bottom of the firewall, in front of the doors.
Fiberglass will give you room here.
I can barely stuff 35's with absolutely no rubbing on my BII with 4.5" of actual spring llift and AutoFab fenders (similar to 3-4" buldge from Fiberwerx)

Dont forget all tires are different too, some 35's are closer to 34 then actually 35, etc.

Go do it right now. It will take you 20 minutes start to finish with a sawzall. Take pictures too. :D

I still need to finish the new one up. Clean up the fenders like the old one.

hahaha, great thread. Good luck on the change :) I dont know if I ever thanked you for the CV's..? Anyway thanks!

Damn lifted Explorer's are soo sexy :)
i cant wait to get my 96 on the road....its just so friggin cool looking!
hahaha maybe I have been driving this 88 too long.....

naaaa!

the rear tires go too high into the rear wheel well for that to look ok

Hua?

Lower in the back is a good thing if you ask me :)
tippy = bad

Picking up 35's TODAY :)

welcome to the wonderful world of 35" tires :) You will never go back! curbs= lucky if you feel them.

ok did all my budget plans today: This month is screwy because i get paid every other thursday and i just got my last paycheck till rent yesterday. next month I get 3 paychecks though :) I will get the glass then. In the rear with SOA and shackles I have to get my d-shaft extended so thats 1 more thing holding me up. Also NO shop will tuch my truck for under 200$ to weld on the pearches. I always explain.... Just tack them on there and I will be happy, thats it and they always look confused and try to send me to an offraod place.

Anyone in Va beach have access to a welder?

those people suck.
I paid a 30 pack of keystone to a friend of a friend on a Sunday about 5 years ago to arc weld my perch's on, they havn't moved since :)

Why does this all sound so familiar? My conversion would have taken like 3 weeks if I didnt have to wait for more $$$ for parts, damn 2 week pay period, just give it all to me now!! hahahah
