burnout-not a brake torque/brake stand/powerbraking

i can with 333's...ofcourse i need a wet surface (after it rains) or some stones on the ground hehe. But on dry pavement, even with the 5.0 on 33's, i cant even get them to chirp unless im turning and giving her gas.

daamn..I wish i had that kind of money to melt a way tires like that, let alone rape my drivetrain in the process.

That's what i was thinking, I almost felt sorry for the truck/tires. I could maybe understand if they were bald and were gunna be taken off, but they seemed like they still had some good tread left. It did look like fun though

Warning: hazardous manuever - may cause vehicle roll over - do this at your own risk!!!

Here's someting interesting with oversized tires (as to raise the vehicle's CG), high gear ratio (~4.56s) and really stiff suspension (torsion bars all the way in):

come to a stop on dry pavement
turn the wheel all the way left
gun the gas pedal

The car at that point should be on three wheels with the driver's side wheel lifted a few inches from the pavement. If you start feeling scared, take your foot off the gas and let the steering wheel go (dont use the brake) - the lifted wheel should come back down.

The Titan's a damn Tough Truck Challenge contender. No drivetrain abuse here. It's built.

I can roast a 35 until my Powertrax catches, then only a chirp.

My 31's on 3.27's, I can't get a sound out of them. 1st gens aren't meant for this. Just leave it alone. I have a friend who tried to power brake his 91 with stock tires & he blew his tranny after 2 tries. He just had it rebuilt a few months before.

Put around 40 PSI in the tires and try again. I use to have this traction problem even while stock. I could roast them for 20-30 yards before they grabbed. Mainly because I have only one wheel spinning and partly cuss the last service guy put 45 PSI in my tires (I didn't know). After lowering them back to 35 PSI, they don't spin nearly as bad. (I really don't want them to spin)

Old high school tricks for burnouts: liquid bleach or motor oil on ground. Spins all day long and won't tear up the drivetrain. I can honestly say I've not used these methods in over 20 years (but still do burnouts regularly.) :D

A pic isn't going to show 20 - 30 yards so do you want a video spindle?
