sorry everyone...dave the spindles are 1.5" per side...yes i was up in pismo and took some picks but me and 'clarkkent' didn't hhok up b/c of scheduling conflicts....sorry about the pics i've been busy with the rear end i'm going back to spring under with the help of some 4" deavers and maybe shackles too i'm not sure, i've already got two 5150's in the rear to match the front they're 10" and valved 255/70...taking a little time though b/c i have to find new u-bolt plates w/shock mounts and get a stock length drive shaft....i'm working on the pics....can anyone host them for me????

thats the same valving i got for my new 8.5" foxes for the front end, how do you like that stiffness? also how much lift will those deavers give ya too, 4"?
dave that valving is awesome...i don't know if i specified but i got the same valving for the rear...so it's 255/70 all around and it is smoooth..so much better than those pro comp es 9000's, and ya i'll run a 4" deaver....josh it was sick out there mani was takin whoops around 40 or so and it was so smooth...the camburg race truck has the same set up except they got dual shocks w/racerunners up front and he said they take whoops at around 75-80 which is crazy...ok well i e-mailed those pics to jeff hopefully they'll be posted soon...
ya it was a little bit...the rear is pretty stiff w/the stock leafs...thats why i wanna go spring under w/deavers..plus it's pretty top heavy w/a spring over imo...it'll ride better spring under...at least thats my reasoning...so you got some fox's? thats sweet...do you have a shock hoop or what? i assume they're an eye/eye mount? piggyback or external resivoir or neither? the 8.5 is the same length i'm running also...oh ya i just though of this: do you think that when i go back to spring under, even though i'll be running a bigger leaf pack that i might not have enough room to run that 10" shock....b/c if i don't i'll need to get a custom mount made to accomodate that length of shock
your right the shocks are eye to eye so im getting a hoop made next week and its an external resi. when you go SUA you should have more room to run a longer shock(assuming that you moved the shock mounts up with the SOA) because they will be below the axle made, i dont think you will have any trouble with that.
ya the shock mounts were moved to the top of the axle with the new spring perch so when i put them back under the shock mount will also be back under the axle on the original u-bolt plate.....i need to get two new ones though b/c when i did the soa i had to cut of the shock mounts on the u-bolt plate to clear the gas tank as well as to clear the pumpkin shock....seems like a hassle to do it all but it should be worth it
ohh man that looks real good! i like that skidplate too. ive never seen that kind of adapter to take the place of the eye for those 5150's in the front.
dave-ya that was a surprise to me too, bilstein has just recently come out with it, basically it threads into the top of the shock and has the stem at the top...it's a pretty nice design especially for those of us who don't have a hoop (<< ME!)
