2000 ford explorer
Hello everyone, I am fairly new posting here but I use this site a lot to help me fix my explorer but I recently came across a problem that I can not figure out. I have a 2000 ohv ford explorer that I did an engine swap in and I put a 99 ohv in it. After putting the engine in I found that the plugs don't match up on the CMP sensor, so rather than just replace the sensor, I put in the Synchronizer form the 2000 engine. I cannot get the synchornizer aligned properly even after following the manual. I have the special tool required but there are 2 of them that are slightly different and I do no know which one to use. Does anyone have basically a fool proof way of aligning the synchonizer? Also I did not mark where the original sensor was facing at tdc before I took it out.
