So I have been thing. Why not Coilovers.

Well after doing a little research, I have decided to invest in coilovers.

As we know by now they no longer make the coilover conversion kit, but you can fab some of your own. I was looking for cheaper ways to do it with out fabing stuff up and came up with this.

They make adapters for this to be easy.

We have pen style shock tops and bar pin bottoms up front.

This is the bar pin eliminator kit for the bottoms:$22 +ship

This would make mounting easier. There might be Questions on clearance but we will see when there here.

I was planning on using this with superlift front box kit with a spring over conversion and running.

Hmm, this does seem pretty simple. But how would the front hold up? Where the shock is up front was only meant to dampen the ride, not support the weight of the truck. Would need a bit more support on that part. Definitely gussets on the sides of the shock tower.

I do like that pin bar find for the lower mounts! But I would use them to eliminate the stock rear shocks, would give us more options!

interesting, but i do not think they are strong enough,, i have a coilover conversion kit from rcd and it just looks stronger,,
maybe if them brackets were stronger i would get on board, ,

i've used coil overs on street rods and street machines for at least 10 years. i'm running Aldan coil overs on all four corners of my '54 F100 street machine. they are adjustable for ride height and compression. many people also use them for autocross. today i prefer the newer version which is a air spring with the shock.

The bar pin eliminator kit would work great on the back. To get some universal shock under there.

And all the conversions I have read through have gusset welded on them.

I have read yours and like the kit. The kit looks really strong and would like to go that route. But I can wait to find the kit or if I can get a hold of Jacob Myers and have him fab me some up.

Also the pin eliminator kit for the top are made by others with a wider platform for a bigger bolt and thicker material.
