Colorado might be the best state ever...

oooh and you are bringing a lady out?? my friend would have somebody to play with then, he's kind of a lady himself :-) love him to death though. more girls should come out to play, we are pretty cool :D

I think there is at least 1 other female coming from the rmftc board. I think she'll be a passenger, but is 'wheel friendly' :D :D

Your friend can stay away from Emily, she's with me ;)

She's going to totally freak out when she realizes that we're going to drive through Conifer, CO. She was born/raised there until age 7. I don't think she's been back in years...

I've only taken her wheelin' one time. It was back in VA and she had alot of fun. She has no idea what I'm planning for this trip though.

If you have or can source a hitch that is the easiest and most efficient way of saving your bumper and provides for the needed rear tow point. If nothing else you can probably use the hole in your step bumper with a D ring, although I wouldn't count on it to pull with much power or weight.

Well I kind of have a hitch but, it is custom made and not meant for towing or I am not sure how it would do as a recovery spot...Take a look http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=194763, and since that is in that location the dring through the bumper hole is out...plus with the BL and custom bumper mounts not sure if I would want to pull from bumper but doesn't matter now...

I will prolly just pick up a few standard tow hooks and bolt them to the frame...

I sent the company an email asking if the mount was on backorder or if it was just forgoten or what and no respones after 3 days total, only 2 of which where full business days but I plan on calling them soon if no answer...I went with a Firestik II so it is a very easy to tune antenna just have to twist a screw at the top so we should get it to work...

With your BL you can add rear tow hooks no problem. I'll snap a pic tomorrow to show you what I mean. But it would be really easy.

I'm still working on front tow hook mounts. I've got the idea in my head, but I just need to get to work on 'em.

That and my sliders!

bwahaha brett... don't worry about him, he's not into.. girls :-) he does call himself my sugar daddy though...

i was just insinuating he's "another one of the girls.." hahaa. i've had a few beers after practice today :-)

Yeah, With the BL it will be quite easy to add some frame mounted tow hooks. I was just saying that with the Bl and relocation bumper mounts I wouldn't want to tow from the bumper...

Brett, I forgot that it was homecoming week for my highschool so alot of stuff is going on this week, so do you think that instead of me coming up tomorrow I could drop by on next Wed. or this Sun since you will be biking on Sat..?

No sir... just making sure we're on the same page. Oh, when you meet Emily, feel free to give her as much grief as you give me. I do :) She can take it ;)

I don't give grief to Women... only my wife and sisters  ;)

I just have to get back to watching the Packers beat the Chargers on NFL RePlay :D

Maybe I won't wheel, and just sell the truck to go up to Lambeau and see the Packers again

I might be able to do both.

Any of you free this Friday and close to Denver? Maybe meet up for drinks sometime? I don't know my schedule exactly but I think Fri. is pretty open.

Maybe sometime Saturday before the Endurocross race (the reason I'll be in town).

Colin??? You will be in Denver Friday? Dang man I am in Texas right now setting up our new office (my parents moved to Galveston) and I get back into Denver mid afternoon...

My girl Julee will be coming with me when we go wheeling, in fact I am lucky if I get to drive any more hehehe

Jamie, I ask you this since you have run slaughterhouse and have had the 5.0L... do you think that the AWD would hold up fine for it or? That is the only thing that is keeping me from going for sure....If you think that AWD could handle it then I would still try to get the 4406 in before that but if not then I will just put the frontdrive shaft back in and go in AWD..

there are some parts of the trail that would require low range 4x4, the 5.0L awd would do 85% of the trail but not all of it, slaughterhouse is a loop so you would have to turn around

you can see nhow far you can get!!
