It looks like one of my coolant hoses has cracked. Once the truck gets up to temperature, and the thermostat opens, **** starts spraying EVERYWHERE. Now, I'm going to go ahead and replace all the hoses... but some of them look pre-bent, like the one coming from the top of the engine. How do I get replacement ones of those?

any auto parts store has them to fit your specific vehicle

Do they sell like a pack of all the hoses? Or just each individual hose?

If we're talking about the radiator hoses (the big ones with all the bends), then yes they come individually and preshaped. You will need your car model, year, transmission type (auto/manual) and size/type of engine for them to give you the correct hose. The heater hoses and such are sold by the foot.

Yep, they're right. Any place like Pep Boys, etc. will carry them. Just give them details on your vehicle and make sure you know which hose it is, upper or lower, etc.

Is there a diagram somewhere that shows all the hoses and direction of flow? I found the one with the hole, but I'm not sure what it's for... it's very short, yet wide and pre-bent. I figure I'll replace them all at once, but a diagram that has all the hoses listed would be really helpful so I can take that in to Autozone.

Bottom rad hose flows to the water pump, water pump flows to engine, out the top rad hose to the rad. Do you have any pics of the hose in ?

Here's a picture of the little hose with the hole, and another for reference.

- EDIT -
Actually, I think I just figured out what it is... it's the thermostat housing.. correct?

Yep-that hose , and all the others should be available--I though you had a leak between the oil cooler and water pump (lower large hoses) .

If you could find an elbow hose of the same diameter-it can be trimmed down.

Now as for the lower radiator hoses-yes there are 2--one runs from radator to the oil cooler, and a short one from the cooler to the water pump. Look those over good also--the short one is a PITA to change, because the oil cooler will need to be loosened.--if you need help let me know.

Well I took the thermostat housing off and removed the thermostat, so I could do a full flush. And some how the threads on the left nut of the housing got messed up. The nut keeps on wanting to go back in at an angle. I just can't get it straight. I don't understand how it happened, as soon as I saw it wasn't going in straight the first time, I pulled it out. Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be enough room to get my hand and wrench in there. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now if I can't fix these threads.

Go to parts store and ask for a "heli coil" set, of the proper size.
Take the bolt in, they will find helicoil, tap and bolt which will fix it--

Actually I think I got a straighten out now. But thanks.

I must be missing something though. Do I need to remove something else to be able to get to this? I still have to tighten the lower right bolt which I can hardly get to.

Well as it turned out Advance only had the upper hose and little one that had the hole in it, so I didn't bother with the lower hoses. I'll cross that river when I need to I guess.

Thanks for the help.
