LOL, i figured someone would come back with that one. He doesn't really get "free rooms", he just has reward points where he travels for work.

How many of us plan on wheeling on sunday?

That's my plan as well... I may even take off Friday just to make sure I've got half an Explorer worth of spare parts packed into my truck

i know this is an explorer run but would there be a way i could bring my 2001 sport thats mostly stock and do a couple easier trails and bring my toyota just to hit the hard stuff i wouldnt want to dent up my 2001 its too nice and i couldnt afford to fix it back.

That's a good question... My brother would probably want to drive his Yota too. And it would keep him from riding with me all day!

I have no problem with that.. mainly because if I am able to make it I will be driving a Samurai.

We've had the question of bringing other makes along come up here too... I personally said 'no' because this is supposed to be purely Explorers, but there are so many members who 'wheel other makes that it's really not fair to shut them out. Of our Mid Atlantic members, Draper's got his Sammy, Chris says he'd bring Skunk but he'll only wheel his Tracker, and Numidian's got his Un-Runner. All three are trail only (well, Jeff's Zuk can be driven on the road, but I wouldn't want to make a 5 hour trip and not be able to go over 45 without a stiff breeze ) and they're a lot of fun to watch... it'd be a pity not to let them join.

How about this for an idea: On whatever day the photographers from the magazines will be there, we do all Explorers/Rangers/Bronco II's/etc and then have the other day for everybody to join in?

I think it is OK to bring whatever junk you have to wheel. But if there are a lot more Fords then we may talk trash about other manufacturers. I also think that more is better.

For what it is worth, one of the main reasons for choosing Crozet is its close proximity to the George Washington National Forest. GWNF trails are generally stock runable. Also, Chris (Crozet owner) has said that he has stock trails.

well thats a good thing because i would take my explorer on the easier trails just dont want to dent it up i gotta drive it as a primary vehicle for at least annother two years and if i kill my toyota tomorrow oh well

Has anyone made reservations yet? I was thinking the Charlottesville University area Holiday Inn. It seems to be the cheapest and pretty close. I wanted to know if anybody else had picked a hotel or if there is one closer/cheaper.
