well dave, whens the next trip?
well c'mon man let's go!

Well anyways was quite happy this weekend since the New Radius Arms and Springs worked great.
Nice not stuffing the Tires into the Fenders all the time

But still need more damping control (shocks) in the front. Front is still way to bouncy over stuff like whoops.
also need to start working on the beams. Can still hear the Axle rubbing on the pass. side but not as badly as before bit still there. and now need to get longer brake lines in it also.
other than that this ol girl just soldiers along

Fade to Black
since i have been finally got a chance today to work on the X. Got a new Alternator for it big difference from the old one. Now i don't have to watch the pulsing headlights at night anymore
and on my recent trip to the JY i found a mint Condition Black grille and headlight trims from a '93 sport so i decided to change up the look of the Explorer just a bit
the old look
the new look
I am digging it

...What town did you get the ticket in???
...I hope they don't start another Statewide mudflap crackdown like they did in the late 80's...

I got popped for the same thing by a chp just west of Bakersfield on I-5. As he was lecturing me on the hazards of lifted trucks and no mud flaps, I must have seen 5 other trucks, WAY higher than mine, with no flaps. I just kept my mouth shut.

Yeah i got the same thing from the CHP that popped me too. So yeah i kept my mouth shut. (have a cracked windshield also he did not noticed). But i find it interesting that when you question the officer about specifications for the mud flaps (size, placement need em on one axle or both etc) they cannot tell you what is legal and what's not legal
but on the humorous side tho Me and Sis (she was driving) took the X yesterday over to the local CHP office to get the ticket signed off.
Walked in the office told the officer what i needed. he says "you got em on"
i replied "yes sir" grabs the ticket and signs it off. hands it back to me "have a nice day ".
Never went outside and looked at the truck

Cough Cough time to blow the dust off this thread.
did not realize it has been over a year since i updated this thread
but anyways not much happening here since i left Cali last September and Moved to Kansas
no insurance on it and Tags expired it has been just sitting at my sister's house just chillin'
but recently the Mgnt Co that my sister has to deal with just put up new signs threatening to remove all "non running, non registered" vehicles from the property
so that left me in a lurch as to where i could store the '91...........
Lucky Me sister number 2 comes to the rescue at the last minute and will let me store this over at her place swince she has assigned parking at her place so no more worries for now.......whew
now to just get the cash together and get the '91 transported to Kansas........
the Saga continues....................................
