East Coast B4$t4rd$

Don't feel bad, I just noticed after playing in the snow over the weekend that my lower ball joints or something in the front end is going bad. Go figure, after 90K miles the truck feels like is starting to fall apart, first the IAC, then the normal slip yoke and now this. Worst of all, I can't find any place close by that carries Moog suspension parts, only TRW and some brand called Perfect Circle. Never heard of Perfect circle, I guess it's one of those cheap brands offered at autozone.

up here in Alaska (south-central anyway), we've gotten a total of like 8-12" snow all winter :p

I had my brand spankin new 96 Ranger 4X4 for the 1996 snowstorm where we got 32" in New Jersey (Philadelphia area). Definitely lots of fun.

Funny, we don't seem to get much snow here in Myrtle Beach.;)

That's a shame. I mean, really, we wouldn't want to contribute all those tourist dollars into your local economy, would we? That would be just terrible.

You live in a tourist area like I do (orig. from NJ). Just something you gotta get used to.

Gee I wish we could all be that lucky. By 90 k I had replaced a rack and pinion, smoked one trans, was halfway through the 2nd, 2 ball joints, an axle shaft, and a bunch of other things I can't remember. So whats the total repair bill $500?

Now that's a first!!!!!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to New Jersey as a tourist state! Would you mind sending me a color brochure of the area? I really want the one titled, "New Jersey - Not as bad as you might think."

Just kidding!!!!!!Gotta take it out on my Jersey friends whenever I can! :D

I am very aware of this and I know that Vermont is still kicking b/c of tourists i just wish they werent such stupid skiers. I have nothing against people learning to ski, hell I am a ski instructor. However on holiday weekends you can tell people from NJ and NYC were here b/c they really ruin the good trails (natural snow so there isnt much cover) by scraping it all away. But I know spots in the woods you would never find me or all the good snow! heheee

beat this!

My uncle that lives in Deep Creek MD. got over 6' of snow. yeah that's right, 6 FEET!

Stupid Women

I work at a call center and most of the non-computer related Customer Service Reps are female. I was over hearing them talk about the snow and they said, "If we got that we wouldn't have shut down the city...."

Um. ya, 20-40" of snow, I think any place would be shut down for a while. I'd like to see them take their mini-van or chevy corsica and get ANYWHERE in that kind of snow.

I haven't figured out why Wisconsin has this title of being to cold and harsh in winter. I've many people say this and some companies advertise about it.

please, I get crapo from the cops for pulling out onto the road with the plow, to push it out of the road. Need to get out of Jersey. If it makes anyone feel better, my truck has been down for a month, and I've been cruising around in a POS Jeep Wrangler, but at least it has a plow, and made my life easier:p

Snow !

You want some snow? We've been getting 5-10 cms of the stuff every 2 to 3 days. I've been shoveling out my other car every day. We just got rid of our -28 windchill weather. More snow for the week-end too.:(

5-10 cm is only 2-4 " and not even that, and 20" of snow doesnt close too much in burlington and vermont in general. Depending on how fast and what time it came down it might close things for a little, like yoga class and basket weaving. We got just over two feet of snow last year and they didnt shut down school or town ( didnt go class i went skiing but there was class) , last time UVM cancelled class was 27 years ago b/c of 2" of solid ice
Hopefully this weekend we will get a little
Gary

Yeah, 20 inches isn't that bad. As long as it took a full 24 hours to fall it wouldn't be that bad. Unless of course your town was totally unprepared for it.

Snow? What is this "Snow" you speak of? :D

Usually all we get here is about 2" of ice and about a 1/4" of snow a year, it sucks cause it's cold and miserable AND no fun. It's been somewhat cold today down to 41 and a high of 48 (according to the car)

Damn Texans!!!

It was 49 degrees and windy here and I though it was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!! Guess it's all on what you get used to!

come on over here, help me finish my truck, and take all the snow you want back with you:D

If I were still unemployeed I'm be there tomorrow.

lol
