OKay so you ordered new front fiberglass fenders, your next project is to get the rear skins and you are wondering how they install?

They install many different ways, it is up to you. You can actually cut out the metal body behind them, or not (I would). Then you can bolt them on, or you can glue them on, or both. You can also fab up mounts and use Dezuess fasteners to make them removable.

Who did you order them from? Perry's?

yeah im about to order my front perrys. Then if shipping isn't a beotch then im getting the rears since right by my gas door I added a nice big dent

heres a pic of my new rear fenders that i just got a few weeks ago. they bolted up with washers and bolts. Dixonbros racing did them for me. Usually you can use zeus fittings and weld tabs. We rivited the tabs onto the body and then bolted the fiberglass to the tabs. tell me whatcha think?

did you cut the metal underneath? Cuz I think you need bigger tires :)

Looks good but kinda rough, which is fine with me! My truck is rough too...

yeh i just banged out the fenders. they pretty much stopped hitting the fenders, my tires are soo chewed up and my fenders are pretty beat that they pretty much made room when i bottom out. its my tub thats taking the beating now, i have to retub the rear fenders now. im probably gonna switch over from 32x1150 to 33x1350's.

pssst: 35's.

haha yeh. i wana run 35's but i still wanna keep my gas down and speed up on the street. my truck is also gonna be a eighth mile killer in town with the supercharger.

pssst 35x12.50, air them up on the street :) they are seriously not that much bigger ion the street then the 33, its when you get offroad they really shine.

What gears do you have? Supercharger will help hhahahaha
4.10 and 35's on my BII with the 5.0L = EXCELLENT highway RPM, a little more sluggish then the 33's but not enough to really matter, especially with the V8 :)

410fortune is right.... get a s/c and 35s :) regear if necessary, its onyl a couple hundred... you are a 4x2 ;)

those look good arvin, i thought you would have to cut out at least a part of the old fenders though because the rear glass had raised fenders...

thanks.,

ok, will do think about 35's but have to see how they look, not sure if i like how those mount, i guess i'll have to bust out the sawsall now and cut it all out of othe way, friday or so the fronts should be here. if they arent to much of a pita i will be ordering the rears.. got a dent in them now anyways (small one) so its an excuse but it might be out of my league... they make a s/c for the 4.0? cause i all ready got 4.56's in did that last week or maybe i can take the engine out of my lightning and stuff it in the explorer..

i want mine to have that factory option look to them, so people can be like wtf they made them like that? those the same rise and flare as perry's?

the front fenders are a SNAP to install compared tot he rear skins.

If you want the factory look then you will want to have them professionally installed liked the picture above of the silver explorer...

my fenders are from perry's-fiberwerx-mcneiloffroad. they're all family. so they use all the same fiberglass..

how much are those rear skins painted and all?

Those are 35s with front and rear glass in that pic I posted. 4" lift with 35s. I had the 35s without the rear glass too. Like 410 said the front fenders are real easy. Just drill, line them up and bolt them in.

Paul Bredehoft used to have a s/c in his '91, but was useless for rock crawling.

BigDave!!!- It's hard to say the price of them painted and all. My truck was white when I put them on so the whole truck was color changed. I also put them on with a friend in the driveway so there was no labor charges (except buy my friend lunch) for me.
