FMS Disappointment

I was at work and the FedEx guy game in with a box stamped by the blue oval. My first thoughts were 'yes my headers are here'. Sure enough thats what he was bringing. Sure enough I called them an hour later to come pick them back up. I opened the box and was almost disgusted with what I saw. The welds were horrible, port size was done at random, the stud holes werent finished, the egr hookup looked like it had been made out of a piece of rebar and welded 12 times. There were even pieces of welding rod left on several welds on the headers. Not to mention the 'stainless steel' had already started to rust. I actually think the stock manifolds are less restrictive than what I pulled out of the packing peanuts. I know I know, TM's are the way to go, but i seriously cant afford them. I was just wondering if anyone else was as saddened by the FMS headers as I was today.

Yes, I was. If you'd read the numerous discussions about Torquemonster headers, you wouldn't have wasted your time.
I guess some guys just need to see it for themselves--
I've seen a set of FMS in my garage also--they stayed in the box.

I feel you there, I had to go to Iraq and get shot at to afford mine, but you DO get a discount being on the forum... I paid about 630.00 for mine...WELL worth it if you can come up with the dough.

pfft.. i almost took my leg off splitting logs a few nights ago. me weld? ha. i need to do something, that exhaust leak is killin me and i hate to put a stock manifold back on.
