Has anyone else done a cam swap to a "E or F" grind cam?
I have just put a F grind in a 99 5.0 it is a EEC V which MotorSport says is not compatiable due to the tight LSA. I've been told that the computer needs to see a minimum of 115 and that cam is 112.
It should be able to be tuned (the ECM) to run properly but just wanted to know what you guys have done........

THANKS FOR ANY HELP AND RESPONSES
Tony

Sounds like an interesting project.

I have an X cam, Edelbrock heads, and 42 lb injectors in my '98 347 Mounty--stock PCM. It runs fine for the most part, but I do need a tune

Section525, and 410Fortune both have e cams I believe--

Do you have Torquemonster headers?

I have the e cam and it works allright but there are better grinds for your 5.0L

The E 303 cam with 1.6 rollers, TM headers, 2wd/4x4 t case, intake and exhaust make my truck ALOT more fun to drive then a stock 5.0l 4 door

I need to get my used Wolverine((212/222) cam in mine to show what a small cam will do, not the awful FMS single pattern cams. Those all have too much intake duration, fine for 6500rpm(or 347), but not for a 5000rpm Explorer 302.

Get a flasher and some programming by Doug, good luck.
