Gave the UPS man a workout today. Couple of these boxes are pretty heavy.

Just a bunch of blue parts in the boxes.

holy ish those coil buckets are big. eb coils i presume? what size did you go with?

5.5" EB progressive coils.

I'm gonna be following this closely. How much of this swap is going to be bolt on and how much is going to be custom?

Going to be 99% bolt on. Only welding that is going to be required is leaf spring perches, and the threaded bungs on the steering and track bar.

Great work on the explorer I've been reading this thread for the last couple hours.

I like the winch, no one where I live at seems to know what they are haha.

How hard was it to mount it to the frame with the universal mount? and how hard was the winch to hook up itself?

Well not a whole lot to update lately. Got a lot of parts that should be coming in in the next week or 2.

My little JBL 8" sub took a **** the other week so I just ordered a new Kicker Solo Baric L7 8" Should be here one day next week. Going to give it a try and see how it is.

Got new front calipers, pads, and brake line from Rock Auto the other day for the d44. Also ordered a set of Sammi rotors to finish the disc setup on the 9"

Got other various little odds and ends on order.

Got one more big order to place with Ruff Stuff and I will have everything I need for the sas and I can get to swapping.

Ill post pics as parts come in.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo, just so i understand this correctly......you put a 2.9 trans in an explorer???

That's right. Only difference is 1-3 gear ratio is a little lower. Everything else is the same. 1st gear is like .32 lower then a 4.0 m5. So basically it make my 4.56 gear seem like a 4.88 in 1st but I still have the 4.56 ratio in 5th so of will be better on the highway.

I missed that part in your thread....I thought someone had said the bellhousing was different in the 2.9 that's great.

UPS man dropped the sub off today.

Got the hole in the box cut out to a square and got it put in.

Also got the cross pins for the 9"

More parts on the way.
