I knew that those tires had some mean sidewalls but when you see them in those pictures they have some NASTY side bitters!!! I be scared to walk next to them...;)

So since you wanna sell it, i'll trade you one of mine for it :D

That thing just looks so mean with those new tires...

Damn Colin, your truck has a whole new attitude with those tires...sure you wanna sell it still?:p: Where did you end up getting the tires mounted?

Well I do want to wheel it before I sell it. I guess it will be more like it's always for sale, but I'm going to treat it the same way I always have. If it doesn't sell then it doesn't sell.

I went to Big-O. They were only able to balance 1 tire of the 5...but so far I got it up to 60 with no wobble.

Crack the bead on one side of the tire and drop in 10 oz of airsoft pellets. That will balance them.. (you might need more than 10 oz.. I'm running 8oz in my 33x12.50 trxus MT.. but I went overboard.. better to have too much than not enough).

Yeah, Swampers don't seem to balance too great...If you start to have probs with balancing you could try the airsoft BB's. I had them in my IROKS and seemed to work ok except for one tire that needed some fine tuning. I'd start to get the death wobble around 40 mph up front:rolleyes:

EDIT: Maniak beat me to it:p: Get the high density BB's, I guess they hold up better from what i've heard.

My tires are unbalanced and do 65 on the highway perfectly fine.

Yeah, I thought I told him not to worry about balancing them because I was going to do the airsoft BBs. I could always take them off, since they are on the outside.

From what others have told me, balance the tires and get them 'close' then throw in the Airsoft pellets......in other words, just throw in the pellets now and leave the weights on them

I used .20 gram airsoft pellets on the 32" tires I had.. they were in there for 30k miles or so and came out still in once pice (none were broken)... This time I couldn't find .20 and went with .12 gram airsoft pellets. Time will tell if they hold up ok.. I still have my .20 pellets but I put them in baggies so next time I do tires I just hand them a baggie and say drop this bag full of pellets in the tire (drop the pellets, not the bag)

Using the .12 pellets comes out to be 2000 pellets (8+ ounces).

btw.. I have 0 weights on the 33" trxes and they are balanced even at 80mph (I normally cruist at 67mph on the freeway but on the way to the last TH run I was at 75-80 while in Az)

What tires are you running?

33x12.5xR15 Pro-Comp Xterrains... We tried to balance them but the machine just couldn't do it, and they have been fine since, rock, mud, snow, ice (exceptional on ice) highway...
